Karen R. Turner, born Washington, DC, 1965.  She was admitted to the Bar in 1991, Pennsylvania; 1992, District of Columbia; 1995, U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia; 1999, Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals for the 4^th Circuit – 2005.  She obtained her B.A. with honors in 1986 from Vassar College, her MA from Georgetown University in 1988 and her J.D. in 1991 from George Washington University National Law Center.  Ms. Turner, a Member, specializes in medical malpractice.  She was recently named one of Maryland's "Super Lawyers" by Law and Politics and the publishers of Baltimore Magazine for 2009.

Ms. Turner is a former legal methods instructor at the Washington College of Law, American University.  She previously served as an Associate Professor of Healthcare Ethics and Medical Jurisprudence, Howard University College of Medicine Visiting Professorial Lecturer of Law, George Washington University Law School.
